Medical and dental faculties can enter students supported their GPAs within the SSC and HSC examinations from this year because the government has determined to try to to away with admission test.
Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque told that there would be no admission test from this year.
“We have taken this decision discussing with all,” he said, “students are registered supported their GPAs publicly examinations –SSC and HSC.”
There are 8,493 seats in all medical and dental colleges in Bangladesh.
2,811 seats in 22 government medical colleges while 4,245 in 53 private medical colleges.
The 9 public dental faculties and medical colleges’ dental units have 567seats whereas fourteen non-public dental institutes have 870 seats.
The minister, however, aforesaid they were nevertheless to stipulate the technical details of however those seats would be crammed up by thousands of top-graders.
“We can finalize it shortly,” he said.
